Khayelitsha’s DJ Nompriee releases single

Khayelitsha-based producer, DJ Nompriee, has released her first single, Road to Heaven.

She said the song was inspired by her love for the popular church hymn, Bawo wethu osezulwini.

“I listen to Rev Nkomfa Mkabile’s version of Bawo wethu osezulwini daily as it has helped me get through tough times.”

DJ Nompriee was joined by her fellow Cape Audio alumni peers, Ray-G and Theo Joz’Bree to make the deep house track, which highlights the power of using music to connect to a higher power.

“I hope the song is received with the same love we made it with and I look forward to releasing more music,” says DJ Nompriee.

Road to Heaven by DJ Nompriee, featuring Ray-G and Theo Joz’Bree is now available on all music digital platforms.
