As couples around the globe prepare for Easter vacations, a new study has identified the best destinations for LGBTQ+ romantic getaways, with Canada taking the crown as the most welcoming location.

The research highlights the importance of finding environments where love can flourish in safety and comfort, a priority for many LGBTQ+ couples when planning their next escape.

The comprehensive study was conducted by Just, an Australian online retailer focused on adult products, which ranks the world’s most romantic destinations based on a variety of factors, including safety, legal protections, romantic activities available and the presence of LGBTQ+ events.

Each location was evaluated on a score out of 100, with Canada achieving a perfect score of 100.

Canada’s diverse cities, including Hamilton, Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver, offer a stunning combination of romantic experiences and progressive values, making it the ideal haven for LGBTQ+ couples.

“Canada offers something truly special for LGBTQ+ couples. Its picturesque landscapes, from the cobblestone streets of Old Quebec City to the breathtaking mountains of Vancouver, create an enchanting backdrop for romance,” says Alexa Johnston, a relationship expert at the online store.

Visiting couples can indulge in everything from wine tastings in Niagara to scenic hikes in Banff National Park.

Canada also stands out with its strong LGBTQ+ community support and an exceptional LGBTQ+ travel index score of 383, which reflects the robust legal protections in place for LGBTQ+ individuals.
