’Plain athletes fly the flag at nationals

Portland High’s Mujaahid Ismail (silver in the under-18 110m hurdles); Jaydin Fritz, a Grade pupil at Plumstead High (silver in the under-16 100m event); Mondale High School’s Naeem Jack (gold in the 300m hurdles and silver in the 100m hurdles) and; Jaden Solomons (silver in the 100m sprint).

Mitchell’s Plain athletes were among those who did well in this year’s national championships at Dal Josafat Stadium, in Paarl.

Coach Paul Jacobus, a member of Itheko Athletics Club, with Mondale High School’s Naeem Jack (gold in the 300m hurdles and silver in the 100m hurdles), Mondale’s Jaden Solomons (silver in the 100m sprint), Plumstead High’s Jaydin Fritz, (silver in the under-16 100m event) and Portland High’s Mujaahid Ismail (silver in the under-18 110m hurdles).
