Emily Jenkinson, from Kommetjie, played a tactical game in the premier under-16 girls’ division at the Rip Curl Gromsearch that took place at Witsands over the weekend.

She caught only two waves in the 20-minute final but made them both count. With a 5.33 and a 4.67, her heat total was 10 points, and she had a clear victory.
