Saturday’s Kaapse Klopse Choral Competition Section 2 finals lived up to the hype, with Mitchells Plain outfit Juvie Boys Entertainers clinching their third consecutive overall title. The judges’ job couldn’t have been easy, though, as second-placed West London All Stars gave the champs a serious run for their money, dropping a big band sound that had everyone vibing. Their set had the crowd on its feet, clapping and dancing along, reminding everyone just how tight the competition really was. Playaz rolled in third place, dishing up a sound packed with more spice than the Colonel’s secret recipe. Every troupe brought serious heat, earning top marks for effort and execution… but in the end, there could only be one overall winner.
