Bo-Kaap Handball Club’s under-20 girls won gold, beating Famini from the Eastern Cape 17–13 at the Classic Handball Championship tournament at the White City multipurpose sports complex in Saldanha Bay on Monday. Jehan, 14, was named goalkeeper-of-the-tournament and Yushra, 19, the tournament's top goalscorer.
The tournament, hosted by the Classic Handball League, featured under-20, senior men’s, and senior women’s teams from across the country.
Bo-Kaap’s boys’ under-20 side finished second, going down 28–14 against Famini Handball Club.
