Africa Genesis Archery Northern Cape (AGA-NC) is launching the new AGA South Africa (AGA-SA) season with enthusiasm, welcoming an impressive line-up of new clubs and units to its ranks.
The latest additions — Orania Kudu Boogskiet Klub, Boshof Warriors, Boshof Combined School, ELCON School for the Disabled, Kimberley Islamic School (KIS), and Boys High Kimberley — highlight the growing passion for archery across the province.
This expansion reflects the remarkable development of the sport in the Northern Cape and beyond, opening doors for aspiring archers of all backgrounds and physical abilities to participate and excel.
AGA-SA clubs and units create a vibrant platform for archers, offering nearly weekly competitions at interschool and interclub levels. These events not only foster individual improvement but also strengthen teamwork within the archery community.
Committed to the growth of the sport, AGA continues to invest in development programmes, including training for Basic Archery Instructors, as well as range and scoring officials.
This ensures that both athletes and officials receive the necessary skills to elevate the standard of competition.
The 2025 season promises to be an exciting one, with two major tournaments on the calendar.
The AGA Federation World Tournament in Namibia will bring together top archers from Canada, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, while the highly anticipated AGA-SA National Tournament is set to take place in Limpopo in the third quarter of the year.
With such rapid growth and international opportunities on the horizon, AGA-NC continues to solidify its role in making archery more accessible and competitive, inspiring a new generation of athletes in South Africa.
