A team of professionals discussed the way forward for the Penis Dialogues musical theatre production, held at the Baxter Theatre.

Clive Barrows Productions has announced auditions for its upcoming musical theatre production, The Penis Dialogues — a satirical and provocative work that explores toxic masculinity, societal norms, and their impact.
The newly formed executive committee, made up of industry professionals, met at the Baxter Theatre on Thursday, September 11, to chart the way forward. Written, produced, and directed by Clive Barrows, the production aims to challenge patriarchy through humour, satire, and critical storytelling.
The audition dates are: For dance, acting, and singing will be held at the Jazzart Studio at Artscape on Saturday, October 18, from 9am to 3p,m and for acting and singing only, on Sunday, October 19, from 9am to 3pm.
The choreographer will only be present for dance auditions on Saturday. Callbacks will follow on Saturday, October 25, and will include interviews and character assessments.
Performers between the ages of 18 and 35 are invited to demonstrate versatility in contemporary fusion, modern and narrative dance; musical theatre singing; and acting techniques ranging from method and classical to improvisation, physical and naturalistic performance, with a strong understanding of satire and parody.
Mr Barrows said: “The production seeks performers with emotional maturity, vulnerability, sensitivity to the themes, confidence without inhibition, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion, with authenticity across the gender spectrum.”
Roles available include five male and two female leads, with shadow understudies, making up a total cast of 14.
Those auditioning are asked to wear suitable dance attire for choreography on Saturday, October 18, prepare a song of their choice with or without accompaniment, and present a satirical or dramatic monologue.
A one-page résumé with contact details and an ID photo must also be submitted.
