The Allan Gray Orbis Foundation is making a final call for applications to its High School Scholarship Programme, aimed at high-potential Grade 6 pupils who demonstrate a passion for leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

The programme goes beyond financial support, offering long-term mentorship and personal development to nurture South Africa’s future business leaders.

Pupils selected for the scholarship gain access to quality education and development opportunities designed to equip them with the skills and mindset to make meaningful contributions to their communities.

The programme is part of the foundation’s broader mission to build an entrepreneurial ecosystem of high-impact, responsible leaders across Southern Africa.

To be eligible, applicants must be in Grade 6 in 2025, aged between 11 and 12 years, and South African citizens. They must have achieved a minimum 70% average in English and Mathematics for the Grade 5 end-of-year and Grade 6 mid-year examinations.

Applicants should also demonstrate a genuine interest in entrepreneurship and financial need, with household income not exceeding R20 000 per month.

Applications can be submitted online at www.allangrayorbis.org, posted to Freepost CB 11349 Kloof Street, 8008, or hand-delivered to the foundation’s offices in Cape Town or Johannesburg. The deadline for submissions is Monday, September 15, at 5pm.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation continues to empower visionary young individuals through its suite of programmes, fostering skills, networks, and opportunities to drive meaningful change and sustainable impact in communities across Southern Africa.
