Every Manchester United fan looks forward to the big teams these days, as it really is the only time you actually see our team play.
The Premier League really has taken a different spin this year, with Manchester, who once dominated this league, both the blue and red half, on the end of a beating and can only hope for the season to end.
Manchester City has seen it’s worse days under Pep Guardiola this season, with this arguably being the toughest season he has had to face.
For Manchester United, it’s same old, same old, as we try to prove that we can be a club.
City could afford to take a beating after the turbulent few seasons they encountered, with a treble included.
United has no excuse, poor football and GoalMOUTH is afraid we are heading to that “watch us next season” status.
Pretty soon, we are going to sound like our former enemies, now playmates, Liverfool, who have dominated us since Sir Alex Ferguson decided to call it quits back in 2013.
Our new manager is already on thin ice, as he just moved up to the fourth most likely manager to be sacked this season.
It’s as if this club has become famous for breaking nearly all the wrong records and I blame our friend Erik Ten Hag.
Let GoalMOUTH tell you why?
The Dutch and Premier leagues are worlds apart and what our old manager tried was the Ajax method in the wrong league.
He then tried bringing back all those same players he worked with, after they had visited other clubs and adapted other habits — but forced the situation with these mediocre players.
Erik Ten Hag then forced a system onto the players, removing quality players along the way — who are dearly missed.
One of the biggest crimes in the world was seeing Erik give David De Gea away for free and spending millions on Andre Onana, who has been shocking to say the least.
We allowed Erik to spend over 200 million pounds on average players who were never meant to wear the famous Red Devils’ strip.
Erik handing injury prone Mason Mount, the iconic number 7 jersey, a number linked with greats such as Eric Cantona, David Beckham and the World renowned, Christiano Ronaldo.
The number 7 is higher than the number of appearances this Mason Mount has made for he team, but Erik thought he had a plan.
What Erik did was sold people retirement policies at a prestige club, he thought the ownership would remain unaware, and he would be allowed to manage this retirement village.
Well, he forgot he needed to compete in a very competitive league and eventually the retirement squad had to earn their pay.
DISCLAIMER: These are the views of GoalMOUTH, if you don’t like them, great, I’d like to hear why.
So step into my GOAL and don’t mind to watch your MOUTH.
