The Amazing Quiz Book for Curious Kids
Kevin Pettman
Buster Books
Children who like trivia will enjoy this book which has 750 simple and interesting common knowledge questions.
The illustrated book has questions on animals, sport, history, science and popular culture and provides hours of interactive brain food fun, especially for children who need to be tempted away from screens.
The quiz formats vary and include multiple choice, true or false and guessing games where the reader is given three facts about a person, place or object with three multiple choice answers to choose from.
My children liked this book and had lots of fun quizzing each other and their friends.

The publisher sent me this book as a freebie among others I had asked for and initially I thought it would end up in the give-away pile because I was sure my children would not be interested but wow, was I wrong.
This book quickly became the most-read book in our house, which is no easy feat among my picky and very different children. Every one of my seven daughters picked up this book and read it with deep interest at some point — even the littler ones who can’t read.
I soon realised that the book appeals strongly to children’s sense of wonder, which cynical me appears to have lost somewhere along the way.
The book’s colourful and graphic-heavy design makes it very appealing and despite my cynicism, it reminded me of my younger self who also regularly checked the Guinness books of world records out at the library.
This book was a nice shot of nostalgia for me and an absolute treasure trove for my children.
Even a friend who visited went straight for this book on the shelf when browsing.
