St Luke’s Combined Hospices will be the beneficiary of the Rocking4Cancer All-White Party at the West End club, in Athlone, on Friday October 4.
The line-up includes DJ Ready D, Dr Jules, Vuvu Kumalo, and more. Arlene Petersen, aka That Comedy Chick, will be the MC.
St Luke’s Combined Hospices has its head office in Kenilworth with clinics in Athlone, Grassy Park, Fish Hoek, Table View, Mitchell’s Plain and Khayelitsha. They have charity shops in Wynberg, Observatory, Hout Bay, Tokai and Salt River.
“I am deeply moved by the unwavering support we receive from our community through events like Rocking4Cancer,” said the head of donor relations at St Luke’s, Jenelle Krishna. “Together, we are making a profound difference in the lives of our patients and their families, ensuring they receive the dignity, comfort, and support they deserve.”
Rocking4Cancer, which brings musicians together to entertain for charity, is the brainchild of the Momma’s Over Matters non-profit organisation, according to its co-founder, Casey Lee Jephta.
“Please support Rocking4Cancer and St Luke’s Combined Hospices at this highly entertaining event and make a difference in the lives of those suffering with terminal illnesses,” she said.
All proceeds from the event will directly benefit St Luke’s Combined Hospices.
