Two people were arrested in connection with two separate attempted car break-ins in Tamboerskloof recently.
According to Jade Hanning, the Cape Town South district manager at Fidelity ADT, they work closely with the local community security information network, WatchCom. “Their camera operators alerted one of our armed response officers of both the suspects who appeared to be trying to break into parked cars. It shows the value of strategically placed cameras as a way of improving security,” he said.
The two incidents took place late on Tuesday evening January 8 and in the early morning hours of Wednesday January 9, in Hastings and Military roads respectively.
“In both incidents, our officer was able to locate the suspects and apprehend them. Both were handed over into the custody of Cape Town SAPS,” said Mr Hanning.
