Residents are advised to store water in clean containers ahead of the water supply disruption scheduled for 8pm to midnight on Wednesday March 9.
The City has announced that the water supply to Vredehoek, Tamboerskloof and Bo-Kaap will be disrupted on Wednesday March 9.
The City’s Water and Sanitation Department will be conducting urgent repairs on the 225mm diameter main water supply to the Vredehoek, Tamboerskloof and Bo-Kaap areas which will result in the disruption of water supply to these areas from 8pm until midnight on Wednesday.
The work involves cutting out and replacing a weakened section of pipe in Glen Crescent, Gardens which has resulted in previous water supply disruptions.
Some residents will experience low water pressure and others no water during this period.
Residents are advised to store water upfront in clean, sealed containers for use during this period and to ensure that their taps are closed to avoid water loss and/or damage when the supply is restored.
