Firefighting crews respond to a reported fire on Devil’s Peak as fire season risks remain high.

Ground firefighting crews from South African National Parks (SANParks) Table Mountain National Park Fire Management have been dispatched to attend to a fire in the Devil’s Peak area.
According to a statement, the blaze was reported earlier today, prompting a swift response from fire management teams who are currently on the ground assessing and containing the situation.
At this stage, no further details have been released regarding the cause of the fire or the extent of the affected area.
Residents in surrounding areas are urged to remain vigilant, avoid the affected zones, and report any flare-ups or suspicious activity to the relevant authorities.
Fire season remains a high-risk period, and officials continue to stress that wildfire prevention is a shared responsibility, said the statement.
