Cape Town's Pool Party raises tidal pool awareness

Attendees to Pool Party Cape Town, are encouraged to bring their floaties and safely enjoy the water using a buddy system.

Who knew bringing awareness to tidal pools could be such fun? All you need to do is bring your floaty and show up at the Pool Party Cape Town at tidal pools around the Mother City.

They hosted their final official gathering for the year at Camps Bay tidal pool on Sunday, December 7. 

Pool Party Cape Town is a social movement focused on the city's natural tidal pools, where people gather to float, enjoy the ocean, raise awareness for pool maintenance, and fund swimming lessons for kids through print sales.

Once everyone is floating, a drone photograph by photographer Daniela Zondagh captures the moment, and the prints sold.

These vibrant, free-to-attend gatherings celebrate Cape Town’s iconic tidal pools in a fun, inclusive, and family-friendly way.

There are pop-up floats planned along the Garden Route during the festive season holidays.
