Sea Point police are investigating a case of attempted rape and drug possession after responding to a call from an apartment block on Sea Point Main Road on Thursday, September 18.
A man and a woman were arrested and are expected to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on Monday, September 22.
Sea Point police spokesperson Captain Cyril Dicks said as they entered the flat, an altercation ensued.
Police officers managed to subdue a male suspect and cuffed him.
"The woman in the flat with the man was reluctant to give any information regarding both of them," he said.
Officers searched the apartment, uncovering drugs and paraphernalia.
They confiscated bank cards, drugs, mandrax, and a tik lolly, with residue as well as syringes of which some had been filled with possible drugs.
"Both the male and female refuse to give any information regarding themselves to SAPS," said Captain Dicks.
