Table Mountain remains a prominent landmark and a sought-after venue for public gatherings and events, according to the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC).
TMACC announced its nomination in the World MICE Awards, marking the first time the company has been recognised in this global competition that celebrates excellence in meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) tourism.
The World MICE Awards, an event that runs in parallel to the renowned World Travel Awards, where TMACC has garnered multiple accolades, aims to highlight and reward the best venues around the globe.
This year, TMACC represents South Africa with its Twelve Apostles Terrace, which has been nominated for the title of best Africa MICE event venue.
It stands alongside illustrious competitors including the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, The Events Train by Rovos Rail, The Boma, and Le Jardin Secret in Marrakech.
Selma Hercules, executive director of TMACC, expressed her excitement over this global recognition, saying: “We are overwhelmed by the nomination, and it shows our global peers are noticing the venue as a phenomenal event space. TMACC positions itself as a premier venue for various events, using our iconic location and awe-inspiring views. This combination is exactly why the Twelve Apostles Terrace is so popular and why we are confident we can bring the trophy home.”
The public voting process for the World MICE Awards opened on Saturday, June 5, and will close on Friday, September 19.
