Two Capetonians are among the cast of a jukebox musical set to be presented many miles from home on a cruise ship.
Robin Timm, a “triple threat”, and Zinzan Raubenheimer a singer and dancer, were spotted at rehearsals at Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) Creative Studios hub in Tampa, Florida, United States of America, last month.
Timm hails from Athlone and is now based in Green Point while Raubenheimer is from Durbanville, and both feature in NCL’s hot new production Revolution, set to debut aboard NCL’s next-generation vessel - Aqua - in March and April. The jukebox musical is choreographed by award-winning Broadway choreographer Patti Wilcox.
“It’s such an honour and privilege to be part of the inaugural cast of the NCL Aqua paying tribute to an icon such as Prince in the company’s lastest show Revolution - a celebration of Prince,” said Timm.
“It’s been an absolute dream to work with the incredible Patti Wilcox and the amazing cast and team. This entire experience has been so surreal learning more about Prince, his music and his legacy. This process has opened up my heart to a deeper appreciation for performance and the creative process and I’m forever thankful.”
