Thousands demonstrate solidarity for Palestine.

This was Wale street on Friday night as hundreds gathered for a mass iftar, also known as Boeka in die Bo-Kaap.

Last weekend, residents of Bo-Kaap got together to break their fast, Iftar which is popularly known as Boeka, culminating in thousands of Muslims congregating at Sea Point Promenade for a huge demonstration in support of Palestine.

Here are photos from the events on Friday night in Wale Street, Saturday in Voetboog Road, and Sunday in Sea Point.

The mass boeka was also a show of support for Palestine.
On Saturday evening residents dined on Voetboog road.
The customary prayers - salaah - was performed at this iftar.
Thousands of people filled the public space of the promenade to show their support for Palestine.
The colours of Palestine were everywhere on Sunday.
Just after dusk, the people assembled to do maghrib salaah.
