According to Asaad, founder of Goodstone, the estimated price is backed by the ring’s quality, unique design and special meaning.
He said: “Given the quality of the central diamond and the addition of smaller diamonds in a pavé (ring) around the band, I would say $1 million is a great estimate.”
He breaks down the value using the “Four Cs” of diamonds: cut, clarity, colour and carat weight.
With the main marquise-cut stone estimated at around eight carats, Asaad explains that it likely exhibits a high clarity grade, potentially VVS1, and is perfectly colourless, placing it within the top ratings range D-F.
While many fans have noted that the marquise cut of the diamond reflects her hit song ‘Good For You,’ it’s the hidden symbolism that truly stands out.
According to Asaad, the marquise cut’s pointed ends are akin to an arrow or a flame, symbolising both passion and forward momentum.
“In her personal life, she’s moving forward into a new chapter as she gets married. In her professional life, she’s transitioning from music to acting. Benny’s choice of cut could reflect his understanding of her journey,” said Asaad.
The band of the ring, crafted from warm yellow gold and featuring a pavé of diamonds, signifies eternal love.

“Not only could this signify that Selena’s won first place in Benny’s heart, but it also represents the immortal quality Benny seeks to convey.”
