The rise of the 'Full bush in bikini' trend: Women embrace their natural hair

Keeping our bikini area hair-free can be painful, especially for those who choose to wax that rather sensitive area. 

Whether you do a basic bikini wax or go full-on Hollywood, getting rid of pubic hair down there isn’t a pleasant experience no matter how often you do it. 

So many women put themselves through that pain monthly. OUCH! 

However, there’s some good news for those who want to free themselves from the pain. 

Ladies are now asking others to embrace their natural hair and let it grow out.

One TikTok user, Sujindah, took to the app to share a video of her repeatedly saying, “Full bush in a bikini” after she saw a bikini review featuring a woman that had a full bush. 

The now-viral video has garnered 14 million views and over a million likes, and thousands of people have commented on what she had to say. 

When the post popped up on my timeline I knew many ladies would be happy to get behind the movement.

One woman said, “I remember watching this old 70s/80s movie and she had a full bush and I remember I gasped cuz I didn’t know it could even grow that much. Normalized it for me & thankful for it. Nothing wrong with it.” 

“I threw out my razors completely 3 years ago and I've been full bush for 7 years now. It's so freeing,” responded another woman.

There was a man who commented on the full bush issue saying: “As a man, I love a full bush regardless of outfit. Ladies you don’t have to shave/wax all the time. There are plenty of us guys that love y’all just as you are.”

Another woman responded, “I forgot to shave this summer at the beach and I was so self-conscious at first but then I was like you know what? Hell yeah, here’s my bush. I can see a man’s bush when he wears a Speedo.” 

But Sujindah isn’t the only woman who is advocating that women embrace their bushes. 

Another TikToker, Lily, posted a video captioned, “The bush is a great accessory! & Sometimes I just don’t want to (or simply cannot) spend money on waxing.

Her video was viewed over a million times which shows that people are interested in the topic. 

“You don’t tame a forest, you bask in its beauty,” was one woman’s response to her clip. 

“Now this is a movement I can get behind,” commented another. 

It seems many women are happy to get behind this movement. 

As with everything else, it’s up to the individual to decide what they do with their bodies and that includes what they do with their pubic hair. 

Women should be allowed to embrace their natural beauty.
