Prince William, the Prince of Wales is expected in Cape Town in November, where he is expected to be a guest at the Earthshot Prize awards.
The British Royal is expected to arrive in South Africa in five weeks, but questions remain if his wife, Princess Kate, will join him on the trip.
Taking to their official Twitter page, the Kensington Royal shared their excitement for the upcoming trip.
South African royal enthusiasts are excited for the upcoming trip but many are wondering if his wife Kate will be joining on the international trip.
The 42-year-old royal in September returned to work for the first time since completing her chemotherapy treatment. Kate was diagnosed with cancer and undergoing abdominal surgery in January.
This year, The Earthshot Prize will bring its annual celebration to South Africa for the first time, following events in London in 2021, Boston in 2022 and Singapore in 2023.

Fifteen finalists from around the world are set to be unearthed, five of whom will be awarded a £1 million (aout R23 million) prize to scale their solutions, during the ceremony in Cape Town.
Earthshot Week will begin with The Prize’s annual Awards Ceremony, an evening of extraordinary storytelling and star-studded performances, celebrating the work of the fifteen Earthshot Prize finalists.
The ceremony will be followed by Earthshot+, a day of thought-provoking conversations aimed at multiplying the impact of The Earthshot prize winners and finalists.
During Earthshot Week, Cape Town will also play host to the annual Earthshot Fellowship Retreat which will kickstart the yearlong Earthshot Prize Fellowship Programme.
Local actress and humanitarian Nomzamo Mbatha is one of the Earthshot Prize ambassadors.
She previously presented the Fix our Climate award at The Earthshot Prize Awards 2023 in Singapore.
