Norval Foundation, 4 Steenberg Road, Steenberg Estate, is reopening today, Wednesday September 2.
The independent museum and non-profit organisation will welcome the public back to its galleries and sculpture gardens with four exhibitions: iiNyanga Zonyaka (The Lunar Songbook) by Athi-Patra Ruga; Alt and Omega by Jackson Hlungwani; And Then You See Yourself by Zanele Muholi; and Recent Acquisitions by the Homestead Collection.
To manage numbers and ensure social distancing, all visitors, including members, will need to book a time slot online or upon arrival. Only 50 visitors will be allowed in the museum at time, and a one-way route has been introduced.
Norval Foundation has replaced its daily admission tickets with a new membership option called Norval Foundation Access Membership. For just R120, Access Members have unlimited entries to the museum for a year.
Regular operating hours will resume from 10am to 6pm, Monday to Sunday, except Tuesdays when the museum is closed.
