Kea Maile brought the sparkle to the GQ 2024 Best Dressed Awards dressed in a fashion-forward outfit that had everyone buzzing.
The talented presenter took to the stage to hand over the Best Dressed Award to the winner, musician and performance artist Oscar Mbo, which she did it all in seriously stylish sneaker culture gear.
Kea Maile wowed the crowd in a custom-made Yenza Sneaker blazer that was as unique as it was eye-catching. Designed by Thabo Khumalo and inspired by Zendaya’s Pinterest street style, the blazer featured funky Yenza prints that perfectly complemented her pink Themba909 sneakers from their latest collection.
The whole look was a perfect blend of bold, fresh, and super sophisticated. The blazer wasn’t just any ordinary jacket, it was a labour of love involving Khumalo, Maile, and the sneaker brand.
The dazzling prints, designed from scratch by designer Lawrence Manyapelo, mixed African patterns with Yenza logos, creating a one-of-a-kind design that turned heads and stole hearts.
Khumalo, known for his daring and innovative designs, nailed it with this blazer.
And Manyapelo couldn’t have been prouder.
“It’s one thing to design prints on a computer, but seeing them come to life on such a stunning final piece is something else,” he said.
Kea’s fabulous outfit didn’t just turn heads, it earned her a nomination for Best Dressed of the night. Talk about making a splash.
With its fusion of fashion, culture, and personal flair, her look was a standout moment at the GQ 2024 Awards.
