Staff Reporter|Published

Cartoon Network characters Gumball and Darwin will be in Cape Town as part of the South African leg of its Wonderfully Weird Van Tour.

The tour promotes the new animated series, The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball, and includes a week of school visits, charity stops, and public appearances around the city.

The new series, The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball, follows the adventures of Gumball Watterson and his best friend Darwin in the fictional town of Elmore. The show continues the story of The Amazing World of Gumball, known for its offbeat humour and storytelling.

The duo will visit local schools on Wednesday, October 22, and Friday, October 24, where pupils can take part in games, quizzes, and interactive shows.

On Thursday, October 23, they will visit the V&A Waterfront to meet fans and have photo opportunities.

On Friday, October 24, Gumball and Darwin will visit the Cape of Good Hope SPCA to hand over donations of blankets, food, and toys in support of the animal shelter.

The tour wraps up with a weekend event at Tyger Valley Shopping Centre’s Ster-Kinekor on Saturday, October 25 and Sunday, October 26, featuring meet-and-greets, games, and giveaways.

Fans can follow Cartoon Network Africa for more information about the Van Tour and local event details.
