Staff Reporter|Published

The Waterfront Theatre School will stage In Flux, a dance production exploring human transformation, at The Lane Theatre on its premises from Wednesday, September 3, to Saturday, September 6.

The production captures the ever-shifting nature of human experience through four genre-spanning works.

Curated as a four-part choreographic exploration, In Flux features:

  • Intersect - a neo-classical reflection on fleeting, often unnoticed connections with choreography by James Bradley
  • Ignite! - a tap work tracing the evolution of flame, from embers to full blaze, with choreography by Simone Ashley Marshall Kleinenburg, assisted by Ursula Lubbe and Raylene Ferreira
  • From Dark Silence - A journey through contrast and clarity, from stillness to awakening, darkness to light, and silence to sound. The choreography is by Shona Brabant
  • ARTificial - a look at the evolution of communication, from ink and paper to AI, Choreography is by Shona Brabant and James Bradley.

The shows start at 7.30pm. Tickets cost R185 and are available via Quicket.
