BRANDON Pillay, the owner of Sealan Security Company, lies in critical condition in hospital after he became a victim of an assault outside a Phoenix sports bar at the weekend.

The violent episode unfolded following an altercation inside the establishment, where a confrontation escalated to life-threatening levels.

According to eyewitnesses, the chaos began when one of Pillay's security personnel was assaulted inside the sports bar.

Pillay was then called in to quell the quarrel, but he was allegedly attacked by multiple assailants when he intervened.

Reports indicate that he was deprived of his firearm and assaulted relentlessly, being left for dead as his attackers fled the scene.

Emergency services rushed Pillay to a medical facility, where he was admitted with severe head injuries and was initially unresponsive.

Investigations reveal that he endured multiple blows from a blunt object, resulting in critical injuries that have doctors working to stabilise his condition.
