Amorim faces storm of threats and memes

Rotten players and old school ideologies seem to be packed up and ready to be booted from Old Trafford.

Manchester United’s new manager has seen some dark days in his first 10 games, losing six, drawing 1 and winning only three.

That was until we visited The Etihad and took on the reigning champions, beating them and sending shockwaves around the world.

Weeks prior to his appointment, Ruben Anorim welcomed the same Manchester City team to Portugal while managing Sporting Lisbon and also beat City.

After another stumble, we headed to Anfield, facing a storm of threats and memes, everybody asking the same question: “Will United survive?”

We did not just survive, but many would say Manchester United were actually the better side and deserved more in the game. A Salah penalty was the difference, but loads of pride restored with a 2 - 2 draw.

But then we visited the Emirates, with a different mindset and a bit optimistic — believing we could beat the dreamers, sorry the Gooners, sorry the Gunners.

Arsenal were confident, sharing 2 - 0, 3 - 1 predictions and boy did things blow up in their faces.

After 120 minutes and a red card to United in the 60th minutes of normal time, it ended 1 - 1 and the game went to penalties.

Up steps under fire Joshua Zirkzee, who calmly slotted his penalty and waved Arsenal fans goodbye.

Arsenal fans must be of the most delusional souls still supporting the game. Their team is almost always useless. They are the team that competes and doesn’t win, but thatreminds us of how well they competed. Conversation ends when we ask to see the trophy or winnings of this effort.

Arsenal have made their fans spends thousands over the years on new kits, having probably focused on the revenue made from jerseys and not trophies.

Arsenal are so bad, that one year, their board decided to not unveil a kit for the new season and they decided to use the same.

Their reason? They were helping Arsenal make a saving — that same year, they increased the ticket prices.

Will this club ever get better?

Are the cracks finally starting to show at Liverpool as since United held them to a draw, they only managed to win the mighty Accrington or something like that.

They managed to beat a team that sounds like an ointment you put on your big toe to help with the swelling.

Anyway, they beat Accrington impressively, I say that with so much sarcasm, they now turn their attention to serious team making serious moves.

Nottingham Forrest is the surprise team this year and next up, a first vs third battle on the English Premier League table.

Forrest have been disciplined. consistent and quite cocky, but most importantly, turned up for the big games.

They already have the sculp of Liverpool, beating them earlier in the season on Anfield.

We head into yet another busy week of football and hopefully we will get to see the downfall of a certain team take some real shape.
