Investigation launched after shooting of man in Bo-Kaap

A 22-year-old man was shot dead in Bo-Kaap.

Cape Town Central police are investigating the murder of a man, 22, who was shot in Astana Street, in Bo-kaap, this afternoon, Monday, December 1, at 1.30pm.
Western Cape police spokesman Sergeant Wesley Twigg said the shooter approached the man, opened fire, and fled the scene.
"The victim was declared deceased on the scene by medical personnel. The circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation."
