GoalMOUTH has been very honest in his views and most will know that I am a die hard Manchester United fan.
But, lately…. Watching United is like watching paint dry and not the kind of paint that just goes dry, but the kind that runs down the wall slowly, like the tears flowing from our eyes.
Yes, it hurts to see such a great club play like a bunch of former first team footballers, that spent a year at war, fighting for their country, but are now subjected to a lazy boy and at an old age home.
We have nothing and I am afraid Erik Ten Hag has no answers, always promising us of a better future.
This man is a like walking wrecking ball, breaking all the wrong records and hinging everything on two of the least most favourite trophies every team is after.
Erik has now recorded his second worst start to a season in his third year at the club. His decision making has been horrific to say the least.
Talking about decision making, shout out to the Orlando Pirate community for winning their third MTN Cup. However, the South African Football Association should really look into this SA referee situation.
A grand final at 1 – 1 with both teams throwing the kitchen sink at it and you as the referee decide to make one of thee most dubious calls of the entire tournament?
Well done to the Stellenbosch boys, you deserved more from it, but very exciting stuff we are seeing coming from this young side from the Cape Winelands area.
Back to the subject that causes my heart rate to rise even though we are just speaking about them.
Manchester United has so much fixing to do and even with a new coach, a new identity and style is needed as we seem lost.
These recent wins and trophies won has clouded the real problems which are truly holding this great club behind.
Erik has not changed things and has only dug a hole so deep, every coach right now looking at it thinking: “Hell no!”
His latest rotation policies surrounding Rashford and Garnacho has stunned the World, but I hope it has opened the owner’s eyes.
A Manchester United coach needs to be fearless and wear this badge on their heart and sleeve. Sir Alex Ferguson never just coached Manchester United, he was Manchester United.
Every coach that has followed him tried to force their own way onto the club, resulting in this mixed egoed football with remains of every coach that has ever walked through the door.
It’s as if asking people randomly to bring ingredients for a pot of food, without sharing details of the meal. Then opening the pot and allowing everybody to throw their ingredients into the pot.
GoalMOUTH is 100% sure you will not enjoy hearing: “Bon Apetit!”
I have always stressed that this great team needs a coach that has Manchester United DNA tattooed on the foreheads. We were on the right track with Ole and with a little more belief, I think he would have changed things.
Executives have had their meetings, now we wait to hear whether he stays or goes. Who knows?
Our rivals are having a field day, laughing and poking, but need I say more. We shall return and we only hope that you are able to get far enough away but even though we hear the laughs, it’s not being backed by anything.
If our dismay is your great victory, then let us be the one to call you guys, true champions…. Or maybe not! Because “champions” and “Arsenal” don’t work in the same sentence.
DISCLAIMER: These are the views of GoalMOUTH, if you don’t like them, great, I’d like to hear why.
